As promised, today I'm featuring the rest of the patterns in the Sears Booklet published after the Century of Progress Fair.
PS--Notice Saucer "alien" Sue above on far left.
This is the back cover and interestingly enough the pattern isn't given in this book. Although it does have a fascinating blurb on the woman who supposedly won the prize.
Where do you find these pieces I wonder. Just such interesting glimpses into days long ago and all the wonderful quilting that went on too. I like all the details they provide for the homemaker to replicate the quilt. Yes Flying Saucer Sue...fascinating.:D
ReplyDeleteThose patterns were challenging! I wonder if any of the quilt historians has found one of the kits "similar to" the grand prize winner. Or the pattern.
