New Year! New Programs!

New Year!  New Programs!
I'm happy to announce that there are two new programs I am now offering to guilds, museums, and historical societies!

By the Chimney No More:  Women and Quilting from 1865-1920

Did you know that the centennial of the passing of the 19th amendment and women's right vote is quickly approaching?  This program is a sequel to our Civil War program and relays the great changes that occurred for women and our quilting.  Beth Bacher will join with me again for this special trunk show which will illustrate how the foundations of our modern day quilt techniques and industries originated.  We will be also be relaying the struggles and accomplishments of women during this time period.  This program is perfect for a tea party or a celebration of women!

The Girl In the Postage Stamp Quilt and Other Stories
This fun program focuses on my (often magical) adventures in quilt collecting.  Often I am asked about my inventory of textiles and I'll be answering those questions as well the similar experiences shared by quilt collectors.  Most importantly, I'll be sharing the stories of the quilts and their makers that I have discovered during my journey.
