By the Sea, by the sea, by the beautiful sea....

Over the weekend I was looking online for one thing but found another... a tutorial for a sweet beach themed quilt.  I thought I would share the link with you here.

A sea-faring quilt was published in the mid 1930s by Nancy Page.  "Ships at Sea" was a series of patterns that was offered in newspapers in 1936.  My favorite aspect of this is the signal flags that border the piece.

I think I have all the patterns and will share those on Thursday.
