The lettering seems awkward to me. It would look rather, hmm, skritchy? scribbly? when embroidered. (Like the "faux primitive" "I done my best" lettering that had a moment about 20 years ago.)
I feel nostalgic looking at these, Michele. I'm not familiar with the one The Nanny Netticoat, though. I wonder what that is about. Thanks for sharing such interesting items.
