Hello stargazers!
If you are back you must like star quilts!
Today I'm featuring a quilt top circa 1940.
I should really finish this one but haven't thought about it for a while.
Another quilt top is from a century earlier. This top features madder fabrics (the rusty brick colored fabrics).
One of my favorite pieces is this one from circa 1840.
This is a HEAVY quilt. The more quilting on a piece the warmer and heavier it becomes.
That pink/yellow/green is such a classic combo! I would love to hang quilts on the bare wall in the stairwell to the basement, but it would be nearly impossible to access. So I lay my quilts over the stair railing and the back of the sofa in the family room. Makes it easier to change with the seasons. I do have two "panel" quilts that I hang with the seasons in the formal living room (that we rarely use)
ReplyDeleteYour featured quilts are so, so lovely. Love the fabrics in the first one!
ReplyDeleteThe first quilt is delicious! Deserves to be finished, used and enjoyed.
