Cloth books are a great favorite for babies. Although they were sold for decades in the 20th century, it's only recently that quilters could buy panels to assemble their own. I love one that I found that appears to have been made in the late 1950s or during the 1960s. Kudos to this enterprising maker who used embroidery transfers!
Have a safe and happy day!
I love this one!! My mother made one of a kind cloth books for each of her grandchildren. I have made a few but none as special as this one. It is great inspiration for some of my vintage linens with stains and holes that would be great to repurpose!
ReplyDeleteA great way to learn the birds and the bees and some animals.
ReplyDeleteA number of years ago I purchased a panel for a cloth book, and turned it into aa baby quilt top, later gifted to a new grandmother who is a friend of mine. She loved it!
