Hello and how are you today?
Last Sunday, Lucky had a spa day!
Fortunately for us, our original groomer Jessa is well enough to groom him. Jessa's been in and out of the hospital and has been really sick. So for the last few months we had to substitute another groomer with rather bad results for Lucky.
The substitute groomer didn't pluck Lucky's ears and he's had several ear infections since (three since the last grooming!).
So I was so grateful that Jessa was well enough to take Lucky on. Jessa and I both remember when Lucky was dang near impossible to groom.
But our boy has been changing. Most people have noticed how much his behavior has improved. Jessa also noticed this. When I took him there, she said he was going to be her only dog that day: "He's all I can handle in one day." But when I picked him up, she couldn't stop raving about him. "I LOVE this boy!"
I'm not suggesting he's a perfect dog yet. He still has tantrums and whenever he greets someone he's still overwhelming. But...he's getting there. He turned 3 yesterday and I think as he matures he will continue to have improved behavior!
Groomed and pretty Lucky!
The vets have been saying he's getting fat but I have to assume he already lost the weight he gained over the winter. As I said to the vets: he went from walking 2-3 miles a day to 2-3 city blocks in ice. If you look at the photo below, you can see how loose his harness is now:
Isn't he just the most handsome boy?
Tomorrow is Flower Friday and I would appreciate any photos you can send. It's been a very cold week here and my neighbors with fruit trees have had to cover their trees at night 😟
What's going on in your world?
Have a safe and happy day!
Lucky is a handsome dude! The flowering trees have been absolutely gorgeous on the Plateau this year. Our daffs have already lost their blooms but other things will be blooming soon.
ReplyDeleteLucky is adorable and what a great spa day.
ReplyDeleteLucky looks so happy and confident in his good looks! :)
