Tuesday's This and That

 Today's edition of this and that features more matroyshkas!  Sue loves them too and check out these amazing pieces she's made:

Sue shares a love of matroyshkas with one of her daughters and made this quilt for her daughter's guest room!  I didn't realize there were so many different matroyshka fabrics!  This quilt just yells adorable!

Plus a Christmas themed pillow!

Sam loves them too and shared that she has these matroyshka measuring cups which of course I had to order too!

Robin said she has been meaning to make a butterfly quilt and suggested checking out the butterfly quilt that Cynthia at Wabi-Sabi Quilts is making here.

In other news, a woman at one of my facebook groups shared this video of an episode of an archeological dig in Britain.  It's the whole episode and it was interesting to watch the crew try block printing.  You can watch it here.

Some of you...(as well as me) belong to the American Quilt Study Group.  On their youtube channel (here) or on their facebook page there is going to be a lecture on a Sanitary Commission Sewing Circle plus what quilt one of the speakers would steal if it wasn't a crime.
