Quilts of Cumberland County

Pennsylvania is unique in the quilting world for various reasons.  One of them certainly is the large amount of quilts that were generated in our state.  Documentation programs feature quilts from individual regions instead of state-wide studies.

The most recent book to be published features quilts from Cumberland County which is southwest of the Lehigh Valley. The study was done by the LeTort Guild and many members of our study group assisted in the documentation.

The book is lovely, full of wonderful photographs and a nice section on history.  If you are interested in purchasing a copy, the book is available on Amazon.

I'll be bringing the book to the Lehigh Valley Quilt Study meeting later this week.  If you are interested in attending a meeting, please contact me.
