We woke on Sunday to snow on the ground!
We didn't get a ton but it was enough that the side roads weren't plowed here for some time and we stayed home instead of going to mom's. She never wants us to drive over there in bad weather anyway. It's clear today so I'll be heading over there in a few hours when she wakes up.
I did get some sewing in though and that felt good. In the foreground you can see the bowl cozy I made for my brother.
I also finished binding this quilt:
I also machine quilted two wall hangings--one for mom, one for me. I'll have photos of those tomorrow or Wednesday.
Did you get snow this past weekend as well?
Have a safe and happy day!
yup...got about an inch....i finished 2 bowls this weekend plus a few other things...perfect sewing weather!
ReplyDeletePretty quilt, Michele. Congratulations on the finish! Fun bowl cozy too. No snow here in the tropics. We've had a lot of rain the last week. Quite nice weather today, more rain predicted in some days.
ReplyDeleteWe had flurries, but no accumulation. Very cold, though.
ReplyDeleteI really like the blue quilt! We got a dusting of snow over the weekend but we have single digit temps right now! All the schools were delayed 2 hours this morning which I don't understand, it didn't warm up that much in 2 hours. What is crazy is that it is supposed to warm up and be 50* here on Christmas! Drive safe to your mother's home.
ReplyDeleteThat blue quilt is absolutely beautiful! We didn't get any snow here this past weekend, but I'm hoping for some as we get closer to Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWe have had snow on the ground since Thanksgiving. I am ready for Christmas and can't wait until I can do more sewing!!! One good thing about COVID was I tackled my WIPs. Cleaned out all of them. There were LOTS!!! Now I pretty much work on the couple in progress projects or work on my scrap project. It feels nice to have that weight off my shoulders!
